Dear NJBA Members and ABC Participants:

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the cancellation of the 2020 Atlantic Builders Convention (ABC), set to take place in Atlantic City, New Jersey on September 29 – October 1.

The difficult decision to cancel was made after careful consideration by the officers, our convention committee, service partners and key member-companies of a variety of issues including the health and safety of all our participants, the upward trend of COVID-19 cases across the country, current restrictions on travel and large indoor gatherings, and the uncertainty of what social distancing and other safety precautions may be necessary in the coming months.

This year’s conference and expo was set to mark 71 years of bringing building industry professionals together and this is the first time in our history that it will not occur. However, although we are unable to meet in person this year, we are pivoting to a virtual Sales & Marketing (SAM) Awards program and details will be announced soon.

To our attendees, exhibitors and sponsors – words cannot express our gratitude for your continued patience and support. Please know that staff will be reaching out shortly to address your existing registration, space reservation and sponsorship with NJBA as well as your service orders with our partners – AEX Convention Services, Conexsys and Encore.

Regarding hotel reservations, please note that anyone who has reserved within the ABC block at Harrah’s, ABC’s host property, will receive a full refund. Those refunds are being handled by the property. Should you not receive a refund within 30 days of this notice, please contact the Reservations office at (888) 516-2215.

As we all continue to navigate the uncertainty of COVID-19, rest-assured that NJBA, remains committed to helping its members through advocacy, education and networking opportunities.
