NJBA is pleased to announce that its charitable arm, the Foundation for Housing has been re-constituted. A non-profit entity established in 1999, Foundation for Housing, Inc. is a collaboration of builders and associated professionals in the residential construction industry who seek to address housing insecurity by increasing the supply of and access to affordable shelter in New Jersey for persons and families of modest means, and to support careers in the homebuilding industry through scholarships and partnerships.

This giving Tuesday, NJBA is pleased to announce that its charitable arm, the Foundation for Housing has been re-constituted. A non-profit entity established in 1999, Foundation for Housing, Inc. is a collaboration of builders and associated professionals in the residential construction industry who seek to address housing insecurity by increasing the supply of and access to affordable shelter in New Jersey for persons and families of modest means, and to support careers in the homebuilding industry through scholarships and partnerships.

Beginning October 1, 2023, under a benchmarking program administered by the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (BPU), all property owners or operators of commercial properties over 25,000 square feet in New Jersey will be required to benchmark their energy and water use for the prior calendar year. Following this year’s October 1 deadline, a July 1 submission date will apply for subsequent years. For the first two years of the program, a 90-day grace period will also apply.
