On Giving Tuesday NJBA Announces Return of Foundation for Housing and Establishment of Tony DiLodovico Memorial Scholarship

This giving Tuesday, NJBA is pleased to announce that its charitable arm, the Foundation for Housing has been re-constituted. A non-profit entity established in 1999, Foundation for Housing, Inc. is a collaboration of builders and associated professionals in the residential construction industry who seek to address housing insecurity by increasing the supply of and access to affordable shelter in New Jersey for persons and families of modest means, and to support careers in the homebuilding industry through scholarships and partnerships.

As its first endeavor, the revived Foundation for Housing, in consultation with the NJBA Environment Committee, is pleased to announce the establishment of the Tony DiLodovico Memorial Scholarship.

Tony DiLodovico, who sadly passed away in August, was a staunch defender of the housing industry and lent the association his expertise on a regular basis over the past three decades. Tony had been a member of NJBA since 1990, Life Director on the NJBA Board, Master Sponsor, an omnipresent volunteer on the Environment Committee, and recipient of several NJBA Industry Awards including Associate of the Year, Associate Hall of Fame, Associate Continuing Service and the Silver Handshake award.

To both honor Tony DiLodovico and to help pass along his dedication of service to the housing industry, the Tony DiLodovico Memorial Scholarship will be presented to an individual interested in furthering their education in the field. The Trustees are hopeful this scholarship can be presented annually depending on the level of support the Foundation receives.
